Matheson Island Tour   (Sept 21)

Three hours from Winnipeg lies the very unique landscape of Matheson Island situated on Lake Winnipeg.  The island offers incredibly scenic views of the Lake and contains a rich history of fishing and trapping.

Weather permitting, participants will be paddling from Matheson Island to Black Bear and Cub Islands  and exploring the surrounding area.  These islands are rich in bird activity and provide opportunity for shoreline exploration.  In the event that the winds are too high on the Lake to make this crossing, participants will be launching form nearby Pine Dock to explore the local Bay, pull ashore to enjoy lunch together, and then, and to delve deep into the Pine Dock Caves (hiking).

Note: prior lake paddling experience is a prerequisite for participation on this tour.  Also, a portion of this drive to this location is on gravel road.

Online Rates: Adult – $104.50 (pay w/ PayPal or CC)
Regular Rates: Adult – $110.00 (cash only, day of tour)

Limited seats & Booking Priority Procedure: please note that priority is given to Online/Pre-paid bookings; the remaining spots are provided to those who ‘Walk-Up’ on the day of tour. Regular rates, in cash only will be accepted at the launch site. If you intend on ‘Walking Up’, please check our Online Calendar for spot availability prior to coming out. Full payment is required prior to launch. Signed waivers are required by all participants. Cancellation policy: Once booked, cancellation of your booking will result in a 50% refund unless the spot can be filled by another participant.
