Delta Aquariid Meteor Tour (July 27 – 9:00 PM)
While bobbing on the waves, participants in this PSKA outing will take in the Delta Aquariid Meteor Shower on the night of July 27th, the peak of this rare celestial phenomenon. It is typical to see up to twenty meteors per hour during this unique event. We will begin our paddle at 9 pm, which will involve a warm up paddle, pulling out our star charts to get oriented with the constellations.
Then we will raft up, turn off our headlamps, pull out some snacks and anticipate the massive meteors that leave behind glowing ionized gas trails that last a second or two after the meteor has been vaporized. Book early to reserve your spot! Previous kayaking experience required. Allow for 3 hours.
Headlamps provided. Previous paddling experience required.

Regular Rates: Adult – $85.00 (cash only, day of tour)
Limited seats & Booking Priority Procedure: please note that priority is given to Online/Pre-paid bookings; the remaining spots are provided to those who ‘Walk-Up’ on the day of tour. Regular rates, in cash only will be accepted at the launch site. If you intend on ‘Walking Up’, please check our Online Calendar for spot availability prior to coming out. Full payment is required prior to launch. Signed waivers are required by all participants. Cancellation policy: Once booked, cancellation of your booking will result in a 50% refund unless the spot can be filled by another participant.
