Pinawa Dam Day Tour

The Pinawa Dam Tour begins at ‘The Channel’ that once fed the Old Pinawa Dam downstream.  We will paddle by granite bluffs and also encounter wetland surroundings as we meander our way down to the dam.  Enjoy the 11 km paddle featuring diverse flora and fauna along the river including a wide variety of birds as well as painted and snapping turtles.

Previous paddling experience is required due to the tour length and the class two rapids along the way. This tour offers river and lake travel which leads us toward the old Pinawa Dam which we will explore after stopping for lunch. Paddling in intermittent rapids is a different challenge and this tour offers a good introduction to paddling in moving water.  Instruction will be provided prior to the tour.  Allow for 6 hours.  Helmets provided.

This is a one way tour.  Participants will be transported back to their vehicles after we’ve explored the dam.

Rates: Adult – $120.00  (pay w/ PayPal or CC online, or Cash on day of tour)

Limited seats & Booking Priority Procedure: please note that priority is given to Online/Pre-paid bookings; the remaining spots are provided to those who ‘Walk-Up’ on the day of tour. Cash only will be accepted at the launch site. If you intend on ‘Walking Up’, please check our Online Calendar for spot availability prior to com-ing out. Full payment is required prior to launch. Signed waivers are required by all participants.
