SUMMARY:Perseid Meteor Tour<br>(Aug 14 – 9:00 pm)
DESCRIPTION:While bobbing on the waves, participants in this PSKA outing will take in the Perseid Meteor Shower on the night of August 14th, the peak of this rare celestial phenomenon.  It is typical to see up to twenty meteors per hour during this unique event. We will begin our paddle with a warm up paddle, pulling out our star charts to get oriented with the constellations.\nThen we will raft up, turn off our headlamps, pull out some snacks, and anticipate the massive meteors that leave behind glowing ionized gas trails that last a second or two after the meteor has been vaporized.  Book early to reserve your spot!\nPrevious kayaking experience required. Allow for 3 hours.  Headlamps provided.\nRates: Adult – $75.00  (pay w/ PayPal or CC online, or Cash on day of tour)\nLimited seats & Booking Priority Procedure: please note that priority is given to Online/Pre-paid bookings; the remaining spots are provided to those who ‘Walk-Up’ on the day of tour. Regular rates, in cash only will be accepted at the launch site. If you intend on ‘Walking Up’, please check our Online Calendar for spot availability prior to coming out. Full payment is required prior to launch. Signed waivers are required by all participants. Cancellation policy: bookings may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to your tour date with a full refund.
